How to Make Fursuit Sandals

One of the most popular questions I get is “how do you make fur sandals?” The answer is actually quite simple and only requires a few materials. In this blog post, I’ll show you how to make your own pair of furry sandals in just a few easy steps.

You’ll need: -1/4 yard of fur fabric (I like to use faux fur for this project) -1/2 yard of lining fabric (you can use any type of fabric for this)

-1/2 yard of interfacing (this helps to stabilize the fabric and prevents it from stretching) -Scissors -Thread

  • Trace your foot onto a piece of paper
  • Add 1/2 an inch around the entire tracing for seam allowance
  • Cut out the tracing
  • Place the tracing on top of a piece of fur fabric and cut around it, adding 1/2 an inch around the entire shape for seam allowance
  • Repeat this step with another piece of fur fabric
  • You should now have two pieces of fur that are mirror images of each other
  • Pin the two pieces of fur together, right sides facing each other
  • Sew around the perimeter of the sandal, leaving an opening at the heel large enough to turn the sandal right side out when you’re finished sewing
  • Trim any excess fur from around the perimeter of the sandal and clip any curves to allow them to lay flat when turned right side out
  • Turn the sandal right side out through the opening at the heel and use a chopstick or similar object to push out all corners and curves so they lay flat against The wrong side Of The fabric

Dealers Den

The Dealers Den is a place for con-goers to buy and sell geeky things like art, comics, games, and more. It’s also a great place to find one-of-a-kind gifts for the people in your life who are into all things nerdy. The Dealers Den is located in the Exhibit Hall at most conventions and is open during convention hours.

For those of you who have never been to a Dealer’s Den, it can be a bit overwhelming. There are so many booths, and each one is selling something different. So how do you know where to start?

Here are a few tips: 1) Decide what you’re looking for before you go in. Do you need a new art print for your wall?

Are you on the hunt for that perfect piece of jewelry to finish off your cosplay? Knowing what you want (or at least having an idea) will help narrow down your search. 2) Don’t be afraid to ask questions!

The dealers are there to sell their wares, but they’re also usually happy to chat about their favorite fandom or explain how they made their latest creations. Asking questions can also help you haggle for a better price (more on that later). 3) Check out the dealer list before the convention starts.

Many cons will post a list of who will be in the Dealer’s Den ahead of time on their website or social media pages. This can be helpful if there’s someone specific you’re looking for, or if there’s something specific you’re hoping to find (like handmade Harry Potter wands). 4) Have cash ready.

Some dealers may take credit cards, but many only take cash. It’s always good to have some cash on hand just in case. 5) Be prepared to haggle! Haggling is common in the Dealer’s Den (and other areas of the con), so don’t be afraid to try it out. Start by offering half of what the item is priced at – chances are, the seller will counter with something closer to what they were originally asking for. If not, well then you’ve saved yourself some money!

How to Make Fursuit Sandals

What are Fursuit Sandals And How Are They Made

Fursuit sandals are a type of footwear that is specifically designed to be worn by people who wear fursuits. They are usually made out of fake fur, and they have soles that are either made out of rubber or foam. One of the main reasons why fursuit sandals are so popular is because they help to keep the feet of the fursuit wearer cool and dry.

This is especially important in hot weather, as it can prevent the feet from getting sweaty and uncomfortable. Additionally, fursuit sandals can also help to protect the feet from dirt and debris. Another reason why fursuit sandals are popular is that they can be easily removed and put back on.

This is helpful if the fursuit wearer needs to take their shoes off for any reason (such as going to the bathroom). Fursuit sandals are typically made by hand, although there are some companies that sell ready-made pairs. If you want to make your own fursuit sandals, you will need to purchase some fake fur, as well as some rubber or foam soles. You will then need to cut the fur into strips and sew it onto the soles.

How Do You Make Sure the Sandals Fit Properly

If you’re unsure about what size sandals to buy, it’s always best to err on the side of caution and go for a slightly larger size. This way, you can be sure that they’ll be comfortable and won’t rub against your feet. To make sure that the sandals fit properly, it’s important to adjust the straps accordingly.

The toe strap should sit in between your first and second toes, while the heel strap should rest just above your ankle bone. If both of these straps are too loose, then the sandals will likely slip off as you walk; if they’re too tight, then they’ll be uncomfortable and may cause blisters. Once you’ve found the perfect fit, enjoy strutting your stuff in style!

What Kind of Materials Do You Need to Make Fursuit Sandals

There are a few different ways that you can make fursuit sandals, and the materials you’ll need will vary depending on which method you choose. One way to make fursuit sandals is to use fur fabric and craft foam. You’ll need to cut out two soles from the foam, and then sew them together around the edges.

Next, you’ll need to cut strips of fur fabric and hot glue them onto the top of the soles. This method is quick and easy, but it’s not very durable. Another way to make fursuit sandals is to use EVA foam floor mats.

You’ll need to cut out two soles from the foam mats, and then glue or tape them together around the edges. Next, you’ll need to cover the top of the soles with fabric or fur using hot glue or sewing. This method is more durable than using craft foam, but it’s still not as durable as some other methods.

If you want your fursuit sandals to be really durable, you can make them out of leather or PVC. You’ll need to cut out two soles from your chosen material, and then sew or rivet them together around the edges. Next, you’ll need to attach straps made from either fur fabric or leather using hot glue, sewing, or rivets. This method is by far the most durable, but it’s also the most time-consuming and expensive.

How Long Does It Take to Make a Pair of Fursuit Sandals

Assuming you are starting with a basic design and have no prior experience, it would probably take anywhere from 4-8 hours to make a pair of fursuit sandals. This includes cutting out the pattern, sewing the pieces together, and adding any desired embellishments. If you are starting from scratch and creating your own design, it could take significantly longer.

In order to make fursuit sandals, you will need the following materials: fake fur, a hot glue gun and glue sticks, scissors, two Buckram circles (or another stiff fabric), elastic, and a needle and thread. First, cut the fake fur into strips that are about an inch wide and twice as long as the circumference of your foot. Hot glue these strips around the edge of one of the Buckram circles.

Next, cut a second piece of fake fur that is slightly smaller than the first one. Hot glue this piece to the other Buckram circle. Then, sandwich the two pieces of Buckram together with the furry sides facing out.

Use a needle and thread to sew around the edge of the sandal, leaving a small opening. Cut a length of elastic that is long enough to go around your ankle with some slack. Thread this through the opening and sew it in place.
Repeat for the other sandal and you’re done!
